The Friends of Mary Tavy Parish Church

The Open Day at Mary Tavy Church on Saturday 8 October 2011 to launch the Friends proved to be well supported and it was particularly encouraging to see around 30 or so at the short talk about the history and architecture of the church.

A big thank you to all who signed up on the day and paid their £10 annual membership subscription and to those who took application forms to complete.  The Church Council is very grateful for your generosity and commitment to the parish church.  I will be writing to all who joined in the next couple of months to welcome them and explain the contribution this will make to the fabric of the church.  I am personally very heartened that so many people value the parish church and wish to be associated with maintaining it as an important part of our village’s history and heritage and to hand it on to the next generation in good order.

If you are not yet a Friend, we would be very pleased if you would consider joining. If you are a member, thank you and if you could give a leaflet to someone else who might be interested that would be great.  With many thanks.
Revd. John Higman. (Sadly deceased 2/2/2017)

Application forms are in the church, or can be downloaded below,  and returned to the Friends Secretary Mrs. S. Higman, Balwynd, Bal Lane, Mary Tavy, Tavistock, PL19 9PE.
